Walsall Safeguarding Children Board
Pool Hayes Primary School has adopted ‘Walsall Safeguarding Children Board’ policy for safeguarding within school. There is a system of referral transparent to all staff, and any employee or voluntary helper must hold an up-to-date DBS. There are weekly Safeguarding meetings held to discuss provision for vulnerable children. This is to ensure:
- Children are protected from maltreatment;
- Children’s health and development is not impaired;
- Children grow up with a safe provision and have effective care to enable them to have optimum life chances.
In safeguarding the pupils in school, the school may involve other agencies and adopts a multi-agency approach to safeguarding.
All staff working within the school have received Level 1 Safeguarding training delivered by a government Child Safeguarding Team. It is the duty of every member of staff to record and report any concerns to the above named staff.
